US army secretary to leave role

The White House has announced that the US army secretary, Dan Driscoll, is leaving his post. This resignation follows reported tension with Pete Hegseth and marks the departure of another top military figure under the regime of Donald Trump. Driscoll's exit creates a significant vacuum at the top of the American military leadership. This move continues a trend of senior officials quitting their roles within the military hierarchy during the current administration's tenure in the United States.
