Arsenal confirm £60m Gabriel Martinelli transfer as star exits in record deal

Arsenal have confirmed that Gabriel Martinelli has joined Al-Hilal in a £60m transfer, marking a record sale for the club. The Brazilian forward leaves north London after seven years, having joined from Ituano in 2019. The deal includes a sell-on clause. Despite winning the Premier League last season, Martinelli had fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates. This fee surpasses the previous record of £40m received for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2017.
