Asylum seeker hotel to close 'by end of year'

The Preston Leyland Hotel, a 93-room venue that ceased public operations in April 2022, is scheduled to close as an asylum seeker hotel by the end of the year. Similarly, an MP has confirmed that the contract for the Cladhan hotel in Falkirk will be cancelled this year. The Cladhan site previously became a focal point for demonstrations involving both pro and anti-immigration groups during the previous summer season across the region.
