Australia v Cook Islands: men’s Rugby League World Cup – live

Australia secured a 66-6 victory against the Cook Islands in Townsville, ensuring the Kangaroos top Pool A. Reece Walsh delivered a starring performance, while Tom Trbojevic scored his second consecutive hat-trick. Despite the win, coach Kevin Walters noted that the display was partly clunky, suggesting further work is required. Meanwhile, high ticket demand for the upcoming Tonga and Samoa clash in western Sydney prompted unsuccessful plans to move the match to Accor Stadium due to concert clashes.
