BBC confirms DIY SOS will be ‘rested’ in 2027 amid ongoing ‘savings challenges’

The BBC has confirmed that DIY SOS will be rested in 2027 as part of ongoing savings challenges. This decision follows a series of cost-cutting measures implemented by the broadcaster. The programme joins other titles that have been paused or removed, including Blankety Blank, Celebrity Mastermind, and Live At The Apollo. These strategic changes are designed to address financial pressures while the organisation manages its current budget constraints across various production categories and broadcasting schedules.
