BBC Question Time erupts into laughter as Suella Braverman's conservative jibe backfires: 'you were in the government'

Suella Braverman, a Reform MP, faced significant criticism during BBC Question Time following a debate regarding the meaning of Englishness. An audience member accused her of reinforcing racist arguments after she previously claimed she was not English despite being born in the country. Additionally, Braverman's attempts to criticise the Conservative government over mass immigration backfired, leading to laughter and rebuttals from fellow panelists who reminded her of her own previous role within that same government.
