BBC The Split Up viewers 'switch off' minutes into new drama

Viewers are reportedly switching off minutes into The Split Up, a new spin-off from Nicola Walker's legal drama, The Split. Following this reception, the BBC drama will take a break from screens. Although this evening's episode continues the narrative from the previous night's fall-out, the series will not return tomorrow. This development follows reports of audience dissatisfaction with the new production as it attempts to expand upon the original legal drama's established storytelling universe.
