Burnham to find Chagos Islands resolution with Mauritius after Trump administration pushback

Donald Trump has launched a fresh attack on the UK Government's agreement to surrender the strategically-vital Chagos Islands to Mauritius, labelling it a terrible deal. During his first meeting with Andy Burnham, the US President issued further condemnation of the arrangement. Consequently, Burnham admitted that a final deal is not yet in place, as he seeks a resolution with Mauritius following the significant pushback from the Trump administration regarding the archipelago's sovereignty and strategic importance.
