City centre maple tree felling plan to be reviewed

Campaigners have requested that the council review plans to fell a mature maple tree in the city centre, urging the consideration of alternative options. Meanwhile, in Cullercoats, residents reported being disturbed by tree felling activities carried out by Nexus. These operations took place during the early hours of Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Both situations highlight local tensions regarding the removal of trees within urban environments and the timing of such industrial works.
