Clearlake Capital is nearing an agreement to buy out Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Mark Walter. This deal values the club at approximately £5bn, allowing the pair to profit from their investment. Discussions intensified recently as Mark Walter seeks funds to pay insurers following a US federal investigation into alleged tax fraud. Currently, Clearlake holds 61.5 per cent of the club, while Boehly, Walter, and Hansjorg Wyss collectively own the remaining 38.5 per cent stake.
