Dozens of new trains to be built in Britain to cut journey times between major cities in North

A £1 billion investment will fund the construction of 29 new battery-electric TransPennine Express trains in Britain. This initiative aims to provide rail passengers in the North with faster and more reliable journeys between major cities. According to the Prime Minister, travel times between Manchester and Yorkshire could be reduced by up to 15 minutes.
