Fifa hits out at attempts to ‘undermine’ Gianni Infantino in furious statement

FIFA has issued a furious statement condemning attempts to undermine Gianni Infantino. The president faces resignation calls following an abandoned plan to sell World Cup stakes and allegations regarding an affair with a former UEFA staffer. Infantino has launched a front-footed assault on UEFA as he fights to save his presidency. In response to these developments, UEFA announced on Thursday that they will continue to boycott FIFA competitions amid the ongoing campaign to bring the president down.
