Food waste to be processed out of county until 2028

Dartford Borough Council has announced that food waste collections for residential houses will commence in November, with bins scheduled for delivery. Meanwhile, Suffolk is currently processing its food waste outside the county, utilising facilities located in Cambridgeshire and Essex. This external processing arrangement for Suffolk is expected to remain in place until 2028. Both local authorities are managing the logistics of their respective food waste schemes to ensure the processing of organic materials.
