Gig review: Duran Duran at First Direct Bank Arena, Leeds

Duran Duran performed at First Direct Bank Arena in Leeds, delivering a pantomime-style show featuring a post-new wave catalogue that remains competitive after many years. Meanwhile, the Bristol-based Tara Clerkin Trio appeared at The Attic in Leeds. The jazz ensemble provided an intimate experience, characterised by a low-key and occasionally ramshackle atmosphere. Both events highlighted diverse musical offerings within the city, ranging from veteran pop stardom to contemporary, understated jazz performances in smaller venues.
