Golf: Scottish ‘ghost course’ by Gleneagles set for overseas buyer

The gWest Golf Course in Perthshire, known as Scotland's Ghost Course, is being put up for sale by UAE billionaire Mahdi al-Tajir. Originally intended as a £500m exclusive resort featuring a six-star hotel, the 639-acre site has remained largely closed since 2009, used only by the owner and his family. The private venue, which borders Gleneagles, is now expected to be acquired by an overseas buyer for tens of millions of pounds.
