Houthis claim attack on Saudi base as fighting flares with Yemeni forces

Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have claimed new attacks on Saudi Arabia, escalating regional tensions. Using drones and missiles, the group targeted the southern Sharurah base, specifically hitting command and control centres and weapons depots. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated these facilities manage aggression against their people. This escalation coincides with flared fighting between Houthi fighters and Yemeni government forces, which has caused an increasing number of civilians to flee the conflict zones.
