James Bond star confirms he’s quit franchise and film needs to be ‘completely reinvented’

Ben Whishaw has confirmed he will not return to the James Bond franchise for its next phase. Having portrayed the MI6 tech expert Q throughout Daniel Craig's tenure in Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time To Die, Whishaw told The Times he will not follow the precedent of supporting actors appearing across different leads. He asserted that the series must be reinvented completely to remain relevant, as the world has changed significantly since the last film's release.
