Trump's chosen heir Byron Donalds survives massive scare in Florida as ex-Republican nearly pulls off upset

Republican Congressman Byron Donalds has been elected as the governor of Florida, marking a historic milestone as the first black man to hold this office in the state. Despite a significant scare during the election where a former Republican nearly secured an upset victory, Donalds emerged successful. This win continues a long-standing trend in Florida, as Democrats have failed to capture the governor's office for more than 30 years, further solidifying the current political landscape.
