Kyiv bridge hit in further drone attack as German chancellor makes surprise visit

Russian forces have launched a major attack on Kyiv, targeting the key Northern Bridge. Unverified video footage shows a drone hitting the bridge while vehicles were crossing, resulting in a massive explosion. This bombardment occurred simultaneously with a surprise visit to the city by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The strike represents a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict as Vladimir Putin's forces continue to target critical infrastructure within the Ukrainian capital during high-profile diplomatic visits.
