Liverpool announce new sporting director as Julian Ward returns for second spell

Liverpool have announced that Julian Ward has been reappointed as the club's sporting director. This appointment follows the departure of Richard Hughes, who held the position for two-and-a-half years before deciding to join the Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. Consequently, Liverpool were required to find a replacement for the role, leading to Ward returning for a second spell with the organisation to oversee their sporting operations and strategic direction moving forward in the current footballing landscape.
