Marathon cancelled and parks closed as storm hits

Severe weather conditions have led to the cancellation of several events across the East Midlands, including a marathon and the closure of local parks. In Yorkshire, Storm Boelo caused significant damage to a polytunnel, forcing a cafe to close its doors and cancel a scheduled craft market. The cafe owners expressed that they are absolutely devastated by the impact of the storm, which has disrupted various community activities and business operations across these regions.
