New way for people over State Pension age to claim Attendance Allowance

Individuals aged 55 and under face warnings regarding the State Pension age, as the scheduled increase to 68 may be accelerated due to rising costs and Triple Lock scrutiny. Simultaneously, a new method has been introduced for those over State Pension age to claim Attendance Allowance. Currently, nearly 1.7 million eligible people receive weekly payments of either £76.70 or £114.60 through this specific allowance to support their ongoing care needs and living expenses.
