Newcastle City Council by-election LIVE: Updates from count for Throckley, Walbottle and Newburn ward

A by-election was held in the Throckley, Walbottle and Newburn ward for Newcastle City Council. The vote was triggered following the resignation of Amy Hunter, a Reform UK councillor. Hunter had stepped down from her position earlier this summer, only a few months after being successfully elected during the local elections held in May. Voters returned to the polls to fill the vacancy, with updates provided during the count for the specific ward.
