North East households given hedgehog warning this Bonfire Night

Aleks Stasiukiewicz, 17, lost his left eye in November 2024 after attempting to re-light a firework in a local park. Two years later, he and his mother are collaborating with the NHS to promote firework safety and express gratitude to medical staff. Simultaneously, the Northumberland Wildlife Trust has issued a warning to North East households, urging residents to protect hedgehogs during Bonfire Night celebrations to ensure the animals have a chance to survive.
