A new Scottish Labour leader will be announced later today to succeed Anas Sarwar, who has left Holyrood to join the government of Andy Burnham. MSPs Joe Fagan and Michael Marra are the two candidates competing for the leadership position. The incoming leader faces a difficult start, as the role comes with a challenging inbox and significant immediate obstacles that have already been established for the successor to manage within the party.
