Part of Brighton's iconic West Pier collapses

A section of Brighton's iconic West Pier has collapsed into the sea during Storm Austen. Footage shared online depicts the right side of the famous landmark falling into the water as it is battered by large waves and rough seas. The ruined attraction suffered this structural failure as the storm continues to batter the UK coast, resulting in a significant portion of the historic site disappearing into the ocean during the severe weather event.
