Priti Patel Out As Kemi Badenoch Begins Tory Frontbench Reshuffle

Kemi Badenoch has initiated a Conservative frontbench reshuffle, resulting in Priti Patel leaving her role as shadow foreign secretary. Patel announced on X that she will assume an international role to bolster links with global centre-right parties. Tom Tugendhat is expected to replace her in the foreign affairs brief. This shake-up follows James Cleverly's decision to quit as shadow housing secretary to run for London mayor, occurring amid speculation that Andy Burnham might call an early election.
