Richard Madeley recalls near-death experience of choking

TV presenter Richard Madeley has recounted a terrifying near-death experience during an episode of Good Morning Britain. The 70-year-old star revealed he nearly died after swallowing a piece of very rare beef without chewing properly, causing it to go straight into his windpipe. Madeley described feeling his world closing in and believed his time was up until his sister intervened, saving him by hammering on his back to clear the obstruction and restore his breathing.
