Ricky Gervais Shrugs Off Alley Cats Reviews As His New Comedy Is Mauled By Critics

Ricky Gervais is defending his new animated comedy, Alley Cats, following a wave of negative critical reviews. The series, which features foul-mouthed stray cats in London, has been described by critics as smug and needlessly crude, receiving several zero- and one-star ratings. Gervais addressed the backlash on X, reminding viewers that the show is simply a cartoon about cats. The Netflix production also features a notable cast, including stars from Death in Paradise.
