Russia plotting to kill targets in US and Europe, federal officials say

Federal authorities have announced charges against five individuals currently at large, alleging that Russian intelligence services are plotting targeted killings across the United States and European nations supporting Ukraine. An indictment unsealed in Manhattan federal court reveals that a network associated with these intelligence services paid, or attempted to pay, individuals to surveil specific targets. These operations were designed to identify and subsequently kill people perceived to be aligned with Ukraine within these Western countries.
