Swindon misses out on City of Culture shortlist

Swindon has failed to secure a place on the City of Culture shortlist, as only four other locations have progressed to the next stage of the selection process. In contrast, Blackpool has successfully made the shortlist. Kate Shane from Blackpool Tourism expressed that the town is chuffed with the result, stating that there is a great deal for the local community to celebrate and be proud of following this positive development for the town.
