Thief took police on 'Great Windsor Triathlon'

Alan Styles, 51, was captured on CCTV stealing food from a farm shop before crashing his getaway bike into a metal gate. He subsequently led police on a pursuit described as the 'Great Windsor Triathlon', which involved cycling, running, and swimming to evade officers. On 19 October, Reading Magistrates' Court sentenced Styles to an 18-month community order for his actions. The incident gained attention due to the unusual nature of the suspect's attempt to escape.
