Thousands of unpaid carers quitting jobs every day to look after loved ones

Approximately 1,500 Britons are quitting their jobs daily to become unpaid carers, according to Carers UK. Over a million people have left the workforce in the past two years to support ageing, ill, or disabled relatives. This trend is driven by increasing care needs and declining access to state-funded social care services. Prime Minister Andy Burnham stated that caring for loved ones without adequate support can break people, reflecting the challenges of the UK's changing demographic profile.
