Three dead in horror plane crash as aircraft comes down near popular ski resort

Three people died after a Cirrus SR22T aircraft crashed near the Fluhalp area of Leukerbad, a popular Swiss skiing and spa destination. The plane had departed from Lugano and travelled via Sion before coming down shortly after 4pm on Tuesday. Valais Cantonal Police confirmed the fatalities at the scene, where three rescue helicopters were dispatched to assist. The tragedy occurred as the aircraft was heading towards its final destination in the Valais region.
