Tour de France Femmes 2026: stage eight heads to Nice on penultimate day– live

Demi Vollering has claimed the Tour de France Femmes lead after a stunning late attack in Nice, edging past Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney. Following the drama of Mont Ventoux, stage eight featured a challenging route to Nice, including an initial 75km uphill drag and two category four climbs. While listed as flat, the terrain posed difficulties for sprinters. Vollering successfully capitalised on the opportunity to snatch the yellow jersey from the previously impressive Niewiadoma-Phinney during this stage.
