UK has 'no authority' over death of woman shot in US

Cheshire police have informed Jane Coates that they possess no authority to intervene regarding the death of her daughter, Lucy Harrison. The 23-year-old woman from Warrington died on 10 January last year after being shot in the chest by her father in Texas. Despite Jane Coates writing to the UK police to urge them to gather evidence into the killing, officials stated they cannot act in the fight for justice due to jurisdictional limitations.
