UK households urged not to throw pumpkins in black bins after Halloween

Millions of UK households are being urged to avoid disposing of Halloween pumpkins in general waste bins this year, as doing so can cause more harm than good. Instead of using black bins, certain alternatives are suggested for the seasonal produce. Specifically, dog owners are encouraged never to throw away their carved pumpkins, as the vegetables can be used as food for their pets instead of being sent to landfill sites.
