US officer sentenced for road death of couple

Jasmine Dessaure, a 37-year-old US Air Force officer, has been sentenced without jail time after causing a fatal road accident in the UK. Driving a Jeep Cherokee, Dessaure collided with a Nissan Note, resulting in the deaths of Dilipan Sebastiampillai, 43, and his wife, Dorota, 41. The prosecutor noted that Dessaure had been very remorseful regarding the fireball crash. The court's decision spares the officer from incarceration despite the severity of the couple's deaths.
