Viral 'Cat in the Hat' TikTok trend sparks fun fake videos but also real fear

A viral TikTok trend featuring the Cat in the Hat has sparked widespread fear across the UK and Ireland. Creepy AI-generated videos depicting a killer version of the character prowling streets led the public to believe the threat was real. Consequently, police forces in both nations have issued official statements to reassure citizens. Authorities have confirmed that the images are entirely fake, clarifying that the sinister figure is merely an AI hoax designed for social media engagement.
