What happened to Trump in his last midterm elections?

The BBC offers extensive coverage of the US midterm elections via TV, radio, and online services. Historically, the electorate tends to punish the party of the sitting president during midterm cycles. This pattern was evident during Donald Trump's previous experience in the 2018 midterm elections, where his party faced similar electoral challenges. Viewers and listeners can access detailed reporting through various BBC channels to stay informed about the political developments occurring within the United States.
