Wild Horse Nine review: Malkovich and Rockwell head to Easter Island for McDonagh’s acid bromance

Martin McDonagh returns with Wild Horse Nine, featuring John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell on Easter Island. The film follows the director's established style, depicting two men engaged in violent, barbed dialogue and complex friendship dynamics. While some critics suggest the charm is diluted by machismo, others describe the production as a corker. Malkovich's triumphant performance has already sparked calls for an Oscar, as the story explores a morose, acid bromance typical of McDonagh's cinematic approach.
