Will a new strategy help protect Northern Ireland's nature?

Northern Ireland has launched a new nature recovery plan to combat a decline in biodiversity. Current data indicates that approximately 40% of plants and animals located within protected sites across Northern Ireland are failing to meet the required standard for favourable condition. This strategic initiative aims to protect the region's nature and reverse the ongoing environmental degradation affecting various species, seeking to improve the overall ecological health of these designated protected areas through a unified strategy.
