Wolves star Fer Lopez has won the EFL Goal Hero of the Month award for September. The 22-year-old secured the prize after scoring the matchwinner in the Black Country derby against West Brom. Lopez capitalised on a poor pass from Nat Phillips to dink the ball past Max O’Leary. Following the goal, he performed Matheus Cunha’s celebration from the 2024 FA Cup meeting, describing the achievement as a very special moment for his career.
